Pitch Perfect Short Course in TV & Film Development

September 17 – 19 2010 Birkeck College London

Pitch Perfect is a unique film and television development course held over three days in central London.  It was borne out of an industry need for emerging filmmakers to have a better understanding of the professional development process beyond simply originating ideas.  At the end of the course, one filmmaker will be awarded a scholarship of £2000 development funding for their idea and be mentored by an industry professioanl.

Our course has been designed to teach you the steps involved in getting an idea from the page to the screen.  It will take you through the creative and practical aspects of development and will culminate in a live pitching session in front of a panel of television and film industry professionals.  Each participant on the course will develop a story idea over the three days and there will be an opportunity to read one another’s work and give feedback in a group workshop setting.  The ideas can be for a feature, a short or for a telelviosn series.  We are more interested in compelling stories than the format they take.  The most promising ideas will be selected to take part in the live pitch for the development scholarship.  The course is held at Birkbeck College, University of London, a world-class research and teaching institution.

Join us in September to shape your idea in the perfect pitch.
